In other news, The School Game has quite possibly found it’s name!
I discovered it the other day when looking through my iTunes. It’s been under my nose all this time.
“High School Confidential”.
Good? Bad? Awful?
Well I like it. It describes the game perfectly in my opinion, but it does sound a little... damp. It’s not the most exciting name.
The name originally came from a song by the 50s hip-thrusting rock-n-roller Jerry Lee Lewis:
You better open up honey its your lover boy me that's a knockin'
You better listen to me sugar all the cats are at the High School rockin'
Honey get your boppin' shoes Before the juke box blows a fuse
Got everbody hoppin' everybody boppin'

It’s a fun song, and if I decide to go with the name I think I might use it for the credits.
Jerry Lee Lewis of course married his 13 year old cousin (once removed)... Now that’s rock-n-roll!
Also, the name wouldn’t do it any favours for search engines. High School Confidential currently returns nothing but lyrics websites for the JLL song.
Anyway, the game is reaching its final stages right now.
It’ll be done by mid/late September, and once it’s in the stages of testing I think I’m going to do a quick Bunny Invasion project.
Yes, a new Bunny Invasion very soon... well, not a new one exactly.
The idea is this – Bunny Invasion 1 was poorly released and we’ve noticed a lot of people have emailed/private messaged me about it asking “Where is it?” We never made any money off of Bunny Invasion 1. No sponsor, no ads.
So me and Dave and Rich discussed this, and we all agreed that I should slightly remake Bunny Invasion 1. A director’s cut version.
Here are the changes we’ve all agreed upon:
- It will feature cutscenes and a plot (which the original didn’t) and there will be some unlockable extras also.
- The house you are defending will be different, and the level difficulties will be completely reworked.
That’s pretty much it. The idea is to keep it simple. Not to remake Bunny Invasion 1 into something very similar to Bunny Invasion 2.
This won’t take me much time at all to develop, so it’s likely that The School Game (High School Confidential?) and the Bunny Invasion 1 remake will be released at around the same time.
Finally, some ACTIVITY!
Once all this is over and done with, then I can get on with some new stuff!
...So there’s all of that to look forward to soon.
Once I’m out of the shackles of The School Game (HSC?) then I can really get some work done.
